For those who do not have Japanese citizenship, the following requirements must be met. Enrollees must have reached their 18th birthday prior to March 31 of the year of admission.
[Qualifications]
Applicants must fall into one of the following categories:
(1) Those in a foreign country must have completed 12
years of education, or the equivalent as designated by
the Japanese Minister of MEXT, by March 31 of the
year of enrollment.
(2) Those persons designated by the Minister of the
MEXT as qualified(International Baccalaureate, etc.);
those qualified to enter a foreign university.
(3) Those who meet the above qualifications and who
are approved by the university with superior academic
ability.
[Admissions Requirements]
Applicants should submit one of the following:
(1) Japan Association of International Education(JEES)Japanese Language Proficiency Test score of N2 or
better(copy of score report); or
(2) Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO)
Examination for Japanese University Admission score
of over 265(copy of score report)
(1) Items used for admissions determination: a documents review, an essay written in Japanese, and an interview

(1)Those who are graduates of a Japanese university
must have graduated or be prospective graduates by
March 31 of the year of intended enrollment.
(2)Those in a foreign country must have completed, or
be able to complete 16 years of education by March 31
of the year of enrollment.
(3)Those who have been deemed qualified by the
Japanese Minister of MEXT based on equivalent
academic experience or ability.
(4) Those judged by the university’s Graduate School to
have obtained academic ability or experience equal to
that of a bachelor’s degree.
